Happy Valentine's Day!
HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY! Ryan and I never really celebrated valentine's day as it really is not a holiday, but now that the kids understand holiday's and with school kind of making a big deal about it we have been "forced" to acknowledge it. With that said we have been celebrating Valentine's Day since Friday. Avery had his class party and it seemed to go well, unfortunately I caught a cold and did not feel like volunteering to help. That night Ryan took Claude and I to a very nice dinner at Morton's. I do appreciate that these great steak places generally have really good seafood as I am not a huge steak person. The festivities continued on Saturday Claude and the kids got me some beautiful flowers. Bringing us to today, I still feel like I should just be laying in bed but we had to say good bye to Claude fairly early as her flight left at ten o'clockish. We were all really sad to see her leave. But we did kind of threw out some plans for the kids to visit this summer. :) This year she would take both of them........

Santa,Avery and Alyssa
As noted before Avery and Alyssa eventually got to see Santa. This was the result after an hour of waiting. A very excited Avery and a not so enthusiastic Alyssa.

The Elf on the Shelf: A Christmas Tradition [Stables]
The Elf on the Shelf: A Christmas Tradition [Stables]
The Elf on the shelf is the newest edition to our family. Our Elfs name is Fred (Avery named him). To hear more about his story click above. Ryan and I have high hopes that Avery will improve his behavior since Fred will be watching and reporting to Santa.

Easter Sunday
4-16-09 Better late than never

The kids were very fortunate this year and were over indulged in Easter baskets. Starting with packages from Colorado, aunt Cookie(Carroll) and uncle D.J., Mama and Papa in La Puente got them baskets and so did mommy and daddy. We had a great Easter starting with Breakfast at my parents although we were missing daddy(who had to work, they must be atheist at P-Hill), nina, nino (nina forgot nino had made plans to go skiing) and tia lety(who's in Virginia). Daddy watched the masters(poor Tiger) and mommy actually made dinner. I have to toot my own horn it was really good and I did not burn it. I know it was good because Avery said so. Let me tell you that kid will not lie, he's commented on my cooking that it looks like dog food, so there you go. Well I hope everyone else was as blessed as we were to spend the day with Family.
