As they Grow......

This is Alyssa on any day. Dressed up as well, a princess. Avery strutting home from the school bus. This picture reminds me of the day after...... prom.
I always say you can wear a denim jacket with ANY THING! Why not a gown.

And well, the streaker. If the children now are any indication of what they are gonna be like when they grow up, WE ARE IN TROUBLE!

Meteorologist Alyssa

May be this is rude to say but what the heck does Alyssa know about storm clouds. Clearly we did Avery an injustice by not letting him watch television until he was about three. We thought that t.v. was bad. But boy were we wrong. Thanks Dora the Explorer, Kai Lan, Diego, Max and Ruby and my personal favorite D.J. Lance Rock.

Alyssa and I were walking back home this morning from taking Avery to the bus stop. Alyssa looked up at the sky and said:

A: Those look like storm clouds.
M: What?
A: Those, right there see( and she points)
M: Oh, yeah very pretty.

Here is the kicker to this conversation, Alyssa made that statement as if it was a natural conversation and that both she and I should know about storm clouds and what they look like.

Riddle me this batman. Is being witty and having a quick retort something you are born with or something that you acquire? I ask because as you can see Alyssa "chose" to wear her blouse like that, back wards that is.

After following daddy's words and rubbing his(Avery) sweaty head on all of us Alyssa had to go and change her blouse. Gross, I know. So Alyssa runs down stairs and says TA-DAH!

Daddy: (Very Smug) It's on backwards. (Daddy was being sassy because I yelled at him and Avery for being gross and rubbing their nasty, sweaty heads on us.)

Alyssa: (quickly retorts) I like it like that.

Yet again our parenting skills going down the drain because instead of reprimanding we laughed. It's hard not to laugh. She is three what does she know about being a smart apple.

Silly Alyssa

There is actually a story behind these glasses that Alyssa has been wearing everywhere. They are "sunglasses" and I bought them when I was in college a really long time ago. There is actually a picture with me and Lety one Thanksgiving and she is wearing them. How they have lasted as long as they have is beyond me.

Salon Alyssa

I tried once a while back to polish Alyssa's toe nails, well Ryan had a fit. We quickly had to take the polish off. So this time around we asked daddy first. We figured he would say yes seeing as he was preoccupied with his new wii game, which he needed to entertain himself in between his many bathroom breaks, we are still waiting painfully for his stones to pass.

Alyssa is sporting a new look. Bangs and all. This was her first haircut EVER.

The Elf on the shelf is the newest edition to our family. Our Elfs name is Fred (Avery named him). To hear more about his story click above. Ryan and I have high hopes that Avery will improve his behavior since Fred will be watching and reporting to Santa.

Three days ago... I don't speak spanish!

Alyssa has a new found love for Finding Nemo. About three days ago she was watching the movie and was speaking at the top of her lungs "The barracuda is gonna get Carol!" I said, "It's Coral not Carol." Carroll happens to be her godmother, so I just figured oh she must think they have the same name. Well, I was wrong. I asked Alyssa she could say "Coral." She replies, "No! I don't speak spanish!"

Today, yet again Alyssa asked to watch Nemo and with all the laundry I have to do I willingly obliged. From the kitchen I heard, at the top of her lungs "Mommy! the barracuda and Coral! I speak spanish." :)

Do you speak Alyssa?

Alyssa woke up very agro from her nap and chose to speak in a manner in which nobody was able to help her. Here is how our conversation went.....
Me: Do you know what she wants Avery?
Avery: I don't know, I don't speak baby Alyssa language.

Note: Avery at one point held the title of the official Alyssa interpreter.

Oh and I am sure it goes with out saying that the post and the picture have nothing to do with each other.

The Always Entertaining.......

Alyssa thought it was to bright in the house this morning.
Avery would not let her play with his toys this morning. He is at school right now :)
In my wildest dreams I could not make up this outfit. This is all her. And I just want to add she wore this tee yesterday and wanted to wear it again today. I am very superstitious when it comes to sports, the dodgers won yesterday so she gets to wear it again.

A day in the Life of Alyssa!

Alyssa burned her butt sliding down. Mommy had to teach her the correct way to slide down while wearing a skirt. Hold the skirt down sit on it and the slide together and don't let your thighs touch the slide.
Alyssa decided she would walk up four flights of stairs, we live on the second floor?

Under the Weather

Alyssa has been a little anit-social, she has been feeling under the weather.

George Lopez

I have to add a comment. As mentioned earlier Ryan and Avery are doing homework before bed time. Alyssa and I quickly went from playing dress up to looking at costumes on line. What I failed to mention is that the Dodger game has been on in the background. Our background noise included a George Lopez commercial, and from sound only Alyssa commented "George Lopez mommy, I watch that at Tia Paula's." And indeed it was a George Lopez commercial.

Bunny Alyssa

Avery and Ryan are doing homework so Alyssa and I had to entertain our selves. Alyssa decided she wanted to be a bunny and this is her interpretation of being a bunny.

Twinkle Toes

Here is Alyssa's "Cool Trick!" She can stand on her toes. Ryan's toes are cringing in pain.

Alyssa has been very good about entertaining herself through out the day while Avery is at school.
